Hi,
I've been workin on a card game project in Adobe Illustrator 2023. I have thirty one 5.9*9 cm artboards while each of them have a PSD file placed on it (different artworks I made for the game). Each PSD file has another PSD placed as link on them to keep the original artwork untouched. Although the card sizes are small, I made the original artworks bigger for printing purposes (I think they may be around 30 cm). I am using a macbook pro M3 with 18 gbs of ram but still get this error:
"Can't finish previewing. There isn't enough memory.
ID: -108"
I have Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, a single Safari tab, Telegram and Quicktime Player open. Is this normal? What should I do?

I've moved your post from Using the Community (for questions about the forums) to Adobe Illustrator for you.

So you have rather large artworks placed in Illustrator? Or maybe there are even 60 - 2 on each card?
With just 18 GB of RAM that could be a problem. You could try to make the job easier for Illustrator.
1. Reboot the system
2. Launch only Illustrator. None of those others.
If that doesn't work.
Duplicate all the PSD files. Talk to the printer about how large the files need to be. Then prepare them at that resolution in Photoshop. Then place them in Illustrator.

Thank u so much. I'm disappointed tho. I thought my laptop could handle this.

Btw do you think changing the PSD linked smart objects to embedded smart objects could solve the problem?
