My Adobe Illustrator was updated and now I can't open my ai files. This is not cool. I've gone back to AI 2019 and it still won't open it anymore. How can I recover my files.

3. Are your files saved locally or on network?

I updated AI to 2020 and found that I could not open AI from the alias in my dock. I can only open it from the app in the application folder. Also, it takes much longer to open, but at least I can work now.
