Not sure I phrased that right but I'm trying to generate a bunch of path objects and then get rid of the connections between the points to leave a load of individual, unconnected anchor points.
Any ideas as to how to achieve this?
Scripts recommendations are also welcome ![]()
Thanks.
Select the object and then Select > Object > Direction handles. This selects the path segments. Delete, which leaves you with the anchor points.
You should be able to make an action out of this.

Deselect all, then with the Direct Selection Tool select just the paths, avoiding the Anchor Points. Then hit delete. The Anchor Points will remain.

Thanks Tromboniator and Monika.
Tromboniator- sorry- I should have mentioned that doing this manually was unworkable for me.
Monika- sounds ideal! I will try this tomorrow.
I’m trying to create an action to generate nodal nets in AI, with empty circles at the nodes and a combination of dotted and solid lines as the connectors.
