I created an object and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the color of it. I have done the following and nothing works:
1. Change the document color settings to RGB and CMYK
2. Change the color settings (on the hamburger icon in color settings) to RGB and CMYK to match the document color settings.
3. Clicked on the icon in the toolbar to choose the fill and stroke and selected the color from the color picker/swatches/added the color code.
It just does not work. I also tried it on two separate computers. If you have ANY IDEAS, please send them my way!!!

Please show a screenshot of the selected object that includes the Appearance panel (not the Appearance section in the Properties, but the real Appearance panel)
