Cannot distort using Free Transform tool

When I select an object, I used to be able to click and hold one of the handle and then press 'command' key to distort an object using the Free Transform tool. Suddenly it doesn't work after Illustrator is updated to 26.0.3.

Anyone have the same problem or an idea why?

That is how it works in Photoshop.

In Illustrator you select first the Free Transform Tool and then Free Distrort from the pop up toolbox.
