Cannot move text in illustrator

Unbelievable I pay $400 per year for Adobe when all it does is crash and bug out.  I cannot select or move text on my design in Illustrator. It is not locked, I have shut down my laptop and restarted illustrator a few times.

For some people completely uninstalling the application and then running the Adobe Cleaner tool and then reinstalling has solved this.

What are your system specifications?

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I would like to know if Monika's suggestion helped. If not, could you please confirm which version of Illustrator and OS you're using? Are you using any desktop or window management tools?

Additionally, does this issue occur with all files or just a specific one? Does it happen after performing a particular action or using a specific tool? If possible, could you provide a screen recording demonstrating the problem? This information will help us assist you better.
