Changes not taking effect until zooming in or out

Hi all,

I've just recently downloaded Illustrator however I am having an issue where any changes I make in Illustrator, for example moving, resizing, layer visibility, only take effect when I then zoom in or out. I have Photoshop already and that works absolutely fine. Any ideas what could be going on?

Hi. Thanks for responding. I have tried this already and it had no effect on this issue. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and deleting/resetting preferences, but they have had no effect either. I am noticing other functionality issues too such as bounding boxes disappearing and reappearing and unable to change fonts.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of the OS & Illustrator? Do you have GPU updated to the latest version?

I see you have tried troubleshooting with no resolution. I'd suggest creating a new user account on your machine(Windows or macOS) and see how the app works there.
