Changing haltfone's dots shape

Does somebody knows if it's possible or how to change the shape of the dots in halftone ? (effect --pixelate--halftone) For exemple, i want the halftone to make little triangles instead of little circles.

In the plugin Phantasm you can do that.

Also in apps like Vectoraster (but it's Mac-only)
