Hello everyone,

I'm working on files i will use later for marquetry job. Document I have several form wich I want separate in two distincs layers. The external shape and the interior graphic.

For exemple, here, I want to separte the external forme of my stones band and the internal line. Is there an easier option than cut every piece of line inside manually ?

Thank a lot !

Edit, I found a way using several tools and pathfinder options :

First create a "Stencil" with pathfinder, then use "Outline" still with pathfinder.

Apply an outline form (ex Black, 0.2mm thick)

Then select all your line, put it in a special layout. Hide this layout.

Then use Form Creator to create the outline form.

I'm sorry if the tool's name doesn't match with yours, i'm using a french version and they may not be completly equal.

Thank anyway Manika ! 🙂

You need a line that goes around the stones?

Should that be an extra shape or is it OK when it's created dynamically?

Thank Monika for your answer,

I need a line that goes around yes, but I can simply have it with the Form creator tools. The tricky part is to keep each black line inside. Just those line.
