Hey everyone.
I've had this issue for years. I can't recolor a group of objects with the eyedropper tool.
To be clear: I have one object that is blue and to the side of that, I have two objects grouped together that are yellow. I want to recolor both yellow shapes to be blue. So I select them, then take the eyedropper over to sample the blue object, but it doesn't recolor either of them.
I have even tried using the shift key with no results.
Thoughts?

It applies the color to the group.
But as you can see in the Appearance panel, the new fill is below the contents.
Drag it above the contents an the group becomes blue (but the element are still yellow.)

Ahhhhh, that's it! Thank you Ton!

How do you make the fill panel stay at the top?
(I'm having this same problem again since the latest AI update- where the eyedropper won't work on a group of objects. https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/why-am-i-having-to-ungroup-for-eyedropper-too...)
