Convert 9000 svg to ai with Illustrator

Hi all,

I need to convert about 9000 svg to ai.

I'm using the batch feature but after about 600 conversions it stops.

I can see the bar loading the conversion that is freezed at the beginning and doesn't move.

I wait for half an hour to be sure but nothing happens.

Is there a limit in Illustrator or a way to avoid this?

there is a limit using scripts before needing an application restart, it might also apply to using Actions.

on Windows it's about 500 files, on Mac about 1000. But in my experience, it all depends on the complexity of the files. I've processed thousands of simple files without issue. But I've also only been able to process a handful of very complex files.
