I have 100+ AI files with monochrome graphics in CMYK color mode that all need to be saved in RGB black. Unfortunately, the conversion of the color spaces is not recorded in the acions. Do you have a way to make it work?

Thanks for the effort!

During the recording of the action, do you use "Insert Menu Item" from the Actions panel menu to record the CMYK > RGB switch?

Perfect, that solves the color mode switch. Now I need to figure out how to set color to #000000, so far I haven't been able to do that using the insert menu command.

You have to create a dummy object

Name it in the Attribute panel with a comment

apply the exact black that the automatically converted objects have

Select same

Apply RGB 000

Select your object using the select commend in the action panel

delete it

You could select a black filled object and as part of your action do a Select > Same > Fill Color.

Change the color from CMYK to Grayscale in the Color Panel (maybe do the same for stroke color) and then change to RGB.

In this case, usually, there is no dummy object required. You may just set the desired colour values and use one of the Select menu > Same commands.

Depending on what objects your files contain, there may even be an easier way to make an action (or just do it manually in three steps):

1. Select all
2. File menu > Document Colour Mode > RGB
3. Edit menu > Edit Colours > Adjust Colour Balance: Set all three values (RGB) to - (minus) 100 %
