Copy Paste is pasting on multiple artboards.

I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. When working on a file with any amount of artboards, I can copy and paste and that image will show up on another artboard as well. So it's pasting in two places. Seems not to matter how far apart the artboards are. I have tried to install the last version and I'm still getting the same result. I figured they would have addressed it by now. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on?

If more artboards are selected in the artboards panel, paste in front, back, place will paste on those artboards.

I wish that was it, sometimes it will paste laterally off of the artboard. I've been this same process for years so I'm not sure what has been introduced to cause it.

The default shortcut for the Paste on All Artboards command has not been changed by any chance?
