Copying artboard and layers

When I copied the artboard and used the toggle to control the visibility across everything, instead of changing together the different layers responded on different artboards. So the lines would go off on 1/5 artboards, or the hatches would go off on 2/5 of them. How do you get them to work in sync like the first artboard did before it was duplicated.

Without any screenshots of your canvas and layer panel nobody can tell you much, but it seems to me that you are assuming that artboards duplicate the entire layer sets per artboard, which isn't the case. Your objects may simply not cover all artboards correctly. Other possible explanations could of course be issues with hardware accelerated display functions, so at least try to turn those off and revert to software-only mode.

Is there a way to make copies of an artboard where the layers would work together? How do you turn off the accelerated display functions on windows and switch to software mode?
