Copying & pasting objects within the same document or a new document results in points on the shape's path changing position slightly to the difference of .0001 pt. Not all the points in the object move and not consistently, but all points now have to be checked for alignment after copying and pasting. The same issue occurs when scaling up an object manually or with the scale tool. The greater the percentage of the scale, the greater the discrepancy of the points. All points that were in alignment then need to be checked for consistency after scaling. They may or may not need to be fixed.
For context, this is happening in a work environment with 5 users on 16" MacBook Pros running Catalina 10.15.7 and Big Sur 11.6.1 with Illustrator versions 2020, 2021 & 2022. Is this a bug in Illustrator? Is there any obvious fix for this? Thanks!

Is View > Snap to Pixel on?
If not, could you provide a sample file that demonstrates this, or instructions to replicate?

Yes, I had snap to point on. See attached file where I have copied and pasted the outlined type & also scaled it larger. Now the baseline points are no longer all the same Y coordinate value. For example in the word, "Health", the first "H" has baseline points of 189.7925 pt. The last "h" has baseline points of 189.7926 pt. The lowercase "l" in Health has points in perfect alignment on the left side, but on the right side changes from 569.2623 pt to 569.2624 pt between top and bottom of the letter shape. This is happening for everyone in the same department when creating versions of files. Wondering why the points don't stay in perfect alignment?

You can't attach AI files in the forum. Use drive or dropbox or similar.

Does this occur with just this font, or with any font?

It's with multiple fonts that have been converted to outline to create logo wordmarks. But also the points in the symbol of the logo will move slightly as it's copied and pasted or scaled. I can't post any client logos here as samples.

I would guess this is a rounding error, as I can see no visual difference between the lines zoomed in to 64,000%. It is beyond a level of accuracy that Illustrator can render on screen.

Hi. Which command are you using for paste? Try using "Paste in front" or Cmd + F.

Sure this is annoying for purists, but is it really an issue?
Are you regularly enlarging your docs more than 10,000 fold? (= 1pt error (one pixel - who's going to know? Aside from you...))
