ive been trying to do my work and illustrator just keeps crashing over and over especially when i ctrl+v or do anything besides type.

Are you using any third party plugins?

Did you already reboot the computer and reset the preferences? The latter will erase all your settings.

Was your computer's installation of Adobe Illustrator working normally before? If so, did the crashes start occurring after an update to the computer's operating system or a driver to a device attached to the computer? Multiple factors can be involved in causing repeated application crashes.
