How could you create a custom panel where you can call up menu commands, actions, etc. with buttons, in a simpler and faster way than going to look for the command in the various illustator menus?

It is certainly possible to create customized toolbars easily but it is not possible to add icons associated with a menu command.

[You want all the possible menu choices in one panel?]

You could script everything and use a script runner panel. There's a couple of good ones out there, I think someone here created one...

I created AiCommandPalette (view here) which is a command palette with access to around 500 menu built-in menu commands, 80+ built-in tools, all of your actions, scripts, and more. It also has a built-in workflow system where you can combine menu items, tools, actions, scripts, etc. all into one command. It's not a panel or toolbar, but it may give you some direction on the code front if you wanted to create your own panel. Cheers!
