I want to start creating libraries for swatches that I can access from any AI file loaded on my Illustrator for iPad app. How do I create a MY LIBRARY from gradient swatches from a file on my Illustrator for iPad?

Those are the CC libraries. You cannot save gradient swatcjes in them. You can only save them to normal AI libraries. But those cannot be opened in AI on the iPad.

Since you cannot even open a library, that is difficult.

What you can do: collect them in a normal document, have them applied to objects. Whenever needed, open that file, copy an objct and pathe into your work file.

Or save in a kind of template file that you then open in order to create a new file from it.

I was under the impression I can upload a file to creative cloud and create a swatch library from it there.

In my original post  had meant to say, "...that I can access from within my Illustrator for iPad app for applying to objects in files I create or import."

"Since you cannot even open a library..."   ? ? ?

The swatches section in the Illustrator for iPad app does have a MY LIBRARIES arrow that currently registers as "0."

Thanks Monika, for taking time out to answer my questions...I do appreciate it, and apologize for my frustrations.

Would you happen to know why Adobe offers a MY LIBRARY section in their iPad version if iPad users can't take advantage of any swatch libraries?  😉

I don't currently have a working computer and find my iPad let's me successfully accomplish 95% of my graphic projects as well as my music compositions, writing, editing and photography.

There will be your CC libraries in that section. But those do not contain gradients.
