creating an image from a specific number of a smaller repeating image

hi all - i'd like to create an infographic built out of a smaller repeating image. am wondering if it's possible to do this using a set number of the smaller image?

to be specific, i'm trying to create an image of a gas-powered leaf blower made up of 299 trucks.

Symbols, pattern brushes, creating a tiled pattern... Whatever you prefer. Otherwise of course you may have to piece this together bit by bit. Really impossible to know without any info on what graphics you're actuall talking about.

Those trucks should be neatly ordered?

You might want to take a look at infographic solution such as d3.js

I would suspect that it is capable of doing it.
