Hi,
how do I
a) change the space before the first paregraph in the text-box ?
b) change the distanc of the Live Crop Marks ? I need it closer to the text-box.
c) change the size of the Live Crop Marks ? I need them shorter
Regards Frank
You can select the text box and change the inset amount in Type > Area Type Options. That changes the amount of inset on all 4 sides.
If you want to only adjust the inset from the top of the text to the top of the text box, you could change Align to Center and adjust the First Baseline amount in the same dialog box.
To change the size of the crop marks, select the box and choose Object > Expand Appearance. That will make the marks selectable so that you can move and resize them.

Thanks a lot for the solutions Barbara 🙂
One more question, can I also create an inset amount for a group ? so I can have some space left to my icons ?

I apologize for the long delay in answering. My computer had a problem and for 2 1/2 weeks I couldn't use it.
Illustrator doesn't have a good way to do the kind of layout your need with icons to the left of a column. It could be done more efficiently in InDesign. FrameMaker, which is part of the Technical Communications Suite, has a fantastic feature for doing just what you want.
Unfortunately, with Illustrator the icons would need to be moved manually each time the text changes.
What might work is to give the group a text wrap. Select the group and choose Object > Text Wrap > Make. Illustrator allows only one text wrap amount on all 4 sides so it's not very flexible.
If you need more control you could make a rectangle with no stroke and no fill that is large enough to contain your icons. Group the icons and the large rectangle and apply a text wrap to that group. Something like this:
