I've been using ILLUSTRATOR for year in several versions of the application I keep having issues with the hide/show guides shortcuts (Ctrl+;)

When this keys are pressed, nothing happens!

I know I can configure another combination fot this shortcut but this time I realy want to find a solution for this.

You can try and reset the preferences.

Rename the preferences folder, so in case it doesn't help, you can go back.

Hello @salatielcarvalho,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. I hope the suggestions shared by Monika helped resolve the problem. If not, kindly try running Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and check if it helps.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

I had the same issue even after reseting the preferences so I ended up doing a new shortcut to hide and show the guides with CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + G... A lot of keyboards for a simple task but at least it works!
