Hello Adobe,

This has been a concern for a while on my Illustrator, so I thought I'd ask here. I didn't see any other posts about it.

When changing the name of an artboard, the text cursor (vertical line | ) shows white on white. It would be helpful is the cursor was black or gray so I can see it when typing. Shown here, the cursor is between the "s" and "o" in "Resolution".

Thank you!

Jennifer

Whoops, meant to say "if the cursor", not "is".

I am on Mac OS and cannot reproduce that.

How is the highlighting set up in your system? Looks like the text is not highlighted.

Can you also turn off the GPU acceleration in the Illustrator preferences and see if it gets better?

Here are my computer and OS specs:

Turning off GPU Performance and Real-Time Drawing and Editing, and then relaunching Illustrator made no difference. I didn't see "GPU Acceleration" specifically in Preferences though.

Here's how it looks highlighted. Looks normal:

Hi @J643DA,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I was able to replicate the issue you described, and I understand how it can be frustrating. To assist you better, would you mind providing additional details about your setup?

  • Confirm the operating system you are using (e.g., macOS, Windows) and the version.

  • Provide the version of Adobe Illustrator you have installed. You can find this information by going to "Help" > "About Illustrator."

With this information, I'll be able to investigate the issue further, and if necessary, I will log a bug report for the Adobe Illustrator team.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Best regards,

Anshul
