I started using Illustrator 2025 (29.6) today after just a few days of time off and suddenly the program is extremely buggy. I've quit and restarted several times but the problems persist. The curvature tool is extremely slow and laggy from the start and it's now impossible to drag shapes (sometimes they don't move, sometimes they simply vanish, and just clicking on them induces a spinning wheel on my Mac). This is on top of the existing issue of ever-increasing ram/overheating as the program stays open, even without activity.

Hello @defaultmygsgvj0w6ik,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Could you try the suggestions shared in this help article (https://adobe.ly/4lpiXcx) to see if they help? If the problem persists, kindly try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yes, the font and printer issues do nothing for my performance. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled with the intention of solving the memory problem, but the shapes and curvature lags didn't start until a week after I did so.

Thank you for attempting to resolve the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the application.
I’ve tested the same on my macOS machine but haven’t been able to replicate the behavior. Could you please share the details of your operating system? Additionally, when did you first start noticing this issue? Are you experiencing similar performance issues with any other Adobe applications? Have you installed any app recently which might be causing the issue?
We’ll do our best to assist you further.
Thanks,
Harshika

My OS is OS Ventura 13.2.1. I first noticed the issue about eleven days ago. I'd spent three days not using Illustrator at all and then suddenly all these problems happened. I don't use any other Adobe applications and I didn't make any changes to my software during that three-day trip because I was traveling.
