Hi all !

I'm struggling in illustrator to make this action

I'd like to be able to cut everything that is outside an ellipse

As you can see my ellipse is in pink and I'd like to cut the upper part of the faces and keep the lower part of the faces (they are under the pink ellipse).

Is it possible to acheive this and how can I do it ?

Thank for the help guys !

You really want to cut all outside items? Or it's enough to hide the outside parts?

In the second case try to:

  • select all the items but not the ellipse
  • cut [Ctrl]+[X]
  • select your ellipse
  • activate the draw inside button in the tool bar
  • paste in place
