Data Merge and Color Change Ideas Illustrator

Hi, 

So I've been looking for a tool that will take one template and swap out text, logos, and colors. Data merge has proven to be able to swap out text and logos but as far as color changes I'm struggling. We have about 90 colors palettes to go with 90 logos and want to be able to change both using Illustrator preferrably. Is this possible? If so, can someone walk me through how to use Illustrator to do this? I've tried using Actions, but I'm not very familiar with it and there aren't many videos. 

Also, if this is not possible, I would love a walkthrough of how to make this work with InDesign

Also have tried the recolor artwork feature but it doesnt work after the data merge
