I decided to post in this group because I use Illustrator the most...
My computer is littered with Adobe files that have DEMO EXPIRED as the icon. All my .ai, .psd and .pdf files show DEMO EXPIRED even though my subscription is up to date.
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the various Adobe applications. I've deleted the iconcache and thumbcache on my Windows 10 system. Nothing seems to work. Can someone help me please?
Here are what the icons look like.
I had an application from Digital Art Solutions installed. Embedded in their app is a thumbnail generator that caused the annoying message whenever you haven't logged in recently, when your subscription expired or when your demo trial expired.
Of course, none of this is documented. It took me a long time to figure out by tracing Windows Registry entries.

I tried this several times but it did not help. When I change the Folder Options to show files as icons (never thumbnails) then I get the normal Illustrator and Photoshop icons. When I change it back to thumbnails, I get the DEMO EXPIRED thumbnails on all my Adobe files.
How do you get Adobe apps to regenerate the thumbnails?
