Different Scaling of Text in a Text Frame and the Text Frame itself

If you scale a text frame in the current Illustrator on Mac (at least), the text in the frame will scale differently compared to the original text frame!

I did not find any fix so far ...

It does not deal with any unit conversion.

Original width of text is 33,537 mm and it get's 87,197,mm, like it should (260% exactly), and text will be scaled from 9,953 pt to exactly 25,878 pt, exactly what it should be.

But text will be wrapped in the big size frame and not break until the text frame gets smaller than 81,755 mm! So there is -5 mm(!) buffer.

But text will be wrapped in the small text frame completely different. It will break at 36,891 mm, wich is more the +3mm compared to the original width. (and it will be wrapped completely different in Deli-ver with we and the end of the first line versus De-liver in the big frame with we in the second line!)

So this issue deals with an unexpected and complete different hyphenation.

Can you turn off Hyphenation in the Paragraph panel?

@Ton Frederiks Thanks for your idea, but actually I need to use hyphenation.

I just want to keep the text as it is and just scale it without the programm changing things, I do not want. Because in other text frames I need to use hyphenation and I cannot apply individual settings to 200 text frames before I scale them. So I'm sorry but it is no practical way ...

This is probably happening because of a very slight imperfection when internally converting units. Because this syllable should actually fit in the smaller version as well.

Internally there are always unit conversions. Internally the app does not operate in mm.

In the Hyphenation settings, can you check out the Hyphenation zone? And make that smaller or larger?

@Monika Gausein  the end there is no rounding causing this issue at all. If you read carefully what I wrote and look at the pictures, both text frames behave completely different. It does not deal with hyphenation zones. Words are being wrapped in completely different ways in both text frames. That's the issue.
