My workspace is set up for web applications, and I noticed my font is measured in PT. However, when I changed the units of measure from PT to PX and restarted my computer. Even though it was in PX, I noticed that the font size remained the same size as the previous fonts measured in PT. Does Adobe convert from PT to PX?
12pts should not look the same as 12px. Can someone help me understand why this is happening?

In Illustrator points and pixels are the same size.
1pt = 1/72 of an inch.
1px = 1/72 of an inch.
In HTML they differ. If you want the font size to be the same, use px in HTML.
