I am logged in to my Adobe account, I would have thought the workspace would have been saved as it always popped up whenever I opened a new document.
I still have the hard drive from my old PC. Is it possible to go diving for the file? I feel lost without it!
Thanks.

unfortunately you would have needed to plan ahead for the migration. you are able to create and sve custom workspaces and then transfer them over to new versions of the program. you are also able to export them so you cna load them into programs on other systems so you can be comfortable no mater where you work. For now unless you can open your old illustrator, you will just need to re-build your workspace and tool bars. Then make sure you save it as a custom workspace for yourself.

Saved workspaces are text files and can be found in the user folder.

If only I knew the PC would die!!! At least I was able to save the hard drive and I will look for the file. Thanks! I'll let you know!
