When I add a drop shadow to an object in illustrator, the selection becomes offset, So when I click where the shadow is it selects the object and clicking on the object doesn't select it. Is there any possible way to fix it? It is very inconsistent as to how it selects or doesn't select things. All I want to be able to do is select the object and be able to use drop shadow. I'm happy to provide any other information about this issue if needed. I can't exactly screenshot this because it involves the mouse.
