DXF export option not showing up on macbook pro (in illustrator) Help?!

I have an illustrator file that I need to export as a dxf. I am using a macbook pro (running Ventura 13. 4.1) and the dxf export option is not showing up. Is there a workaround for this? I tried exporting as an SVG but that is also not working. Would this conversion be easier if I were not using a mac, so on a PC?

Yes I was indeed. The problem turned out to be that I had a very large file and I had not isolated all of the anchor points for all components. Once we did that, the dxf conversion went smoothly....fingers crossed the fabricator finds the files workable.

Are you using File > Export > Export As?
