Hello,
I use Illustrator and create a library with objects that I drag and put repeatedly to my documents and have a question:
Is it possible to put a text object to library, which will be editable after dragging and placing to my document? I need it only as a sample of text formatting but the text itself must be differenr in every placed instance.
Thanks.
1 Correct answer
Objects that you Alt-drag on to the canvas will be editable (i.e. embedded rather than linked).

Did you try pressing down the Alt key while dragging it into the document from your library?

One more question here:
I created a small text frame with sample text "xxx" and put it to Library.
BUT if I Alt-drag it to document, it appears as a looooong text frame (which I do not want). Is it possible to put text item to Library that keeps the size of the original text frame?

Try Grouping it before dragging to the CC Library.
