Suddenly my Illustrator changed it's behaviour and I don't seem to find the solution.
A have a text box (live or regular) and let's say it's text is arial. If I click to edit the text and add/replace some of it the new letters come in a different formatting - they don't keep the text's box formatting.
Any clues?

Disabling: Preferences > Type > Enable Missing Glyph Protection did the job.
All seems OK now.

Having the same issue. Making the edit to preferences did not solve. This has been happening for my last several sessions.
