I have a black frame that I want the mosaic tiles to show up on as white grout. I also have a white frame and it shows the grout as black. How do I invert or change the color of the grout to white?

One way to invert the color would be to do the following:

  1. Apply the Mosaic Tiles effect to a rectangle with a white fill (Move the Lighten Grout slider all the way to the left)
  2. Go to Object > Rasterize
  3. Go to Edit > Edit Colors > Invert Color

If you want the grout lighter, you can duplicate the rectangle with the Mosaic Tiles effect, align it to the original, and in the Transparency panel, set the Blending Mode to Screen.
