I need to end this dragged text effect at the end of a die cut of a box in a product design proof. How do I stop the red at the end of the box die cut in the photo attached? Thanks!

The text looks like a block shadow effect was applied to it. Was the effect created in Adobe Illustrator (via a third party plugin)? Can the block shadow path be selected or is the effect still live? If the effect is expanded I'd just turn on Smart Guides and then use the Direct Selection tool to select the anchor points on the lower right end and manually drag the points up and left along the diagonal to a desired position inside the box template.
