Error: an Illustrator error occurred: 271 (")

Hey everyone,
I was running a script using ExtendScript Toolkit CS5 on Illustrator 2022 and got this error:

Error: an Illustrator error occurred: 271 (")

I can see that this happened in the code line which contains 

open()

function. Also I already made sure that files in directory actually exist. 
Do you have any idea why this happens and how to fix this ?
