Export Illustrator iPad as AI to Illustrator Desktop

I have drawn images in Illustrator for the iPad, and I have tried to export as an AI file to bring into desktop Illustrator, but it does not work. I click on Quick Export as AI, but nothing happens. I have tried clicking with the Apple Pencil and my finger, repeatedly. No results.

Send to desktop does not work?

Saving on the Cloud and then opening via the Cloud on the desktop works neither?

Which version of Illustrator do you have?
