Trying to select and export only a section of a current Illustrator 27.4.1 project. I can't seem to figure out how to do this. It is a park map and the client wants the entire park map as a pdf, and each section of the park in a pdf. Hopefully I can have just one overall park map and export sections of it as the client wants. Couldn't find an existing answer in the forums. Yes, I am fairly new to Illustrator. Appreciate your help!
Each AI file can have multiple artboards. Just set a single one for the whole project and then a set of smaller ones to cover the areas you want. To export do a save as, make sure the Use artboards box is checked and use the Range to select the artboard you want to export.

Thank you Larry! After looking up how to work with multpiple artboards I was able to accomplish exporting different sections as seperate artboards.

Met1, to be honest, I haven't been able to figure out how to just select a whole section of an artboard (the main board with entire map on it). Apparently I must be using the wrong terminology when searching for an answer to this. It doesn't appear to work like cropping a photo (which is what I am more use to). š
