Hi

Hopefully somebody can help me - I'm trying to export, from Illustrator, an imported asset that keeps it's transparency effects. Does anyone know if this possible?

I have taken a photo of some handwritten text I want to use overlayed onto some typed text. When I import this photo into Illustrator, lay it over a background image and then change the transparency settings to Multiply, I achieve the exact thing I want (keeps the streaky, marker-pen effect I am after and removes all background). I just want to be able to export this as an individual asset like this. Is that possible ? Please see photos attached showing the image asset with and without Multiply transparency enabled (I removed some of the white background whilst editing it in Photoshop before importing to ai)

I've tried Export for Screens > Export Asset (with PNG settings set to Transparent Background)

I'm using Ai v25.4.1 and also use Ps v22.5.2

Many thanks !
