Fill and Stroke on startup/new projects

New Here ,
Jan 16, 2025 Jan 16, 2025

Hi,

Im going nuts trying to fix this.
Whenever I start a new project in illustrator my fill and stroke is automatically set to white and black.
I do not want any stroke color set on a new project, just white fill.

How do I set this as a standard?

Thanks!

Edit the New Document Profile you use at this location, or create a new one and use that:

Create a custom new document profile

In the file, create an object with the attributes you want as default. Alt-drag it over the Default Graphic Style. Save the file.

You can change the default Graphic Style in the New Document Preset you are using to base your new documents on, like Print.ai, Art & Illustration.ai, Web.ai.
Open the profile you want to modify from:
Mac: (User)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator version number/language folder/New Document Profiles
Win: C:\Users\....AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator version number Settings\language folder\x64\New Document Profiles
Create an object with no stroke, and alt-drag it to the default graphic style to overwrite it.
Save the file.
I prefer to have set my Preferences to Use legacy “File New” interface to make it easier to select the presets.

Did you go to the correct library?

In the Finder select Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Application Support/
