Hi, why is my fill colour not matching the colour displayed by the cmyk values? My fill colour is more tan, and the cmyk colour is more green, and when I try to replicate my tan fill colour in other applications using those cmyk values, I keep getting the more greeny coloured one.... can you please tell me why these are not matching and how I can find the exact values for my tan fill colour so I can replicate it elsewhere? Thanks very much
You can see if it is a CMYK document in the titlebar.
You already detected the color in your screendump.
You may want to learn a little about color(management) here:

The short answer is that you need to educate yourself about color management. when working with CMYK files and values it is invitable and kind of mandatory or else your colors will never look right.

Are you working in a CMYK document?
Did you enter those CMYK values yourself (including decimals)?
Or did you use Hex or RGB numbers in a CMYK document?

Thanks for the reply. I am new to illustrator, someone sent me the document and I just began working on it but I believe it is a CMYK document. No, I did not enter those values myself, I cant actually remember exactly how I chose the colour but is there not just a straightforward way for detecting the colour somehow in Illustrator? Thanks
