hello all!

just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue with adobe illustrator V29.1. Screenshot 2024-11-18 at 11.36.34 AM.png

I type out my copy "Glorify Sans Semi Bold" then change to this font but then after I go back to add or make a correction to the copy and it reverts back to a different font. (serif in the middle that says "what is going on with fonts adobe?" happening on mac & pc both with latest version of ai. super annoying seems to be all files.

Hello everyone,

Our product is aware of the problem and is currently investigating it. Please stay tuned for updates on the UserVoice (https://adobe.ly/40Xoikv)

In the meantime kindly try reverting to Illustrator 29.0.1 and share your observations.

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.

If you wish further informations, it's basically the same as described here already:
System: MB M1 Pro, OS 15.1.1, no additional font management

The bug appears with 29.3 beta, all AI files and all fonts affected, with no character or paragraph styles
It disappears by disabling "Enable Missing Glyph Protection"

Disablig missing glyph protection is the current workaround. Everything else will be discussed in Uservoice.

I also have this problem, which is really frustrating.

The font style and type change to something I didn't desire every time I go back to modify my earlier work.

Damn it!

It is a test (or a joke) by Adobe to improve our "attention to detail" skills. I had to install the previous version, which is 29.0.1 instead of 29.1. It is solved.

To work around this bug, disable "Enable Missing Glyph Protection."

This worked for me, as per the answers below.
