It says that I was able to activate the font but it is not in my available
fonts list.

a couple of thoughts.

1) If you already had a font of the same name on your computer, a font conflict could cause neither of them to be available

2) When I have had an issue with Adobe fonts, sometimes deactivating and reactivating the problem font fixes it (at least temporarily)
