GPU issues in Adobe Illustrator

I am using the following:

Mac Studio 2023

Mac OS Ventura 13.6.4

Illustrator 28.2

I am having an issue with the GPU.

With GPU enebaled I can not see the box that is created when using the select tool.

If I click/hold down and drag, the selection rectange does not appear. When I release the mouse the area is selected, but I cant tell what I'm selecting until I release the tool.

Also when I drag a guide from the ruler, the guide is not visable until I release the mouse.

This is also very choppy and seems to lag when I'm dragging them.

Moving any items also lags, sometimes the item doesn't move until I release the mouse.

Turning off GPU and swithching to CPU seems to help with these issue, but creates a number of other issues that are just as bad. 

There are additional users here that have the exact same hardware/software/OS and they do not experince these issues.

How do I get GPU to function properly in Illustrator.

Turning on GPU is having the exact oposite effect that is should have?

I do not have this issue in Photoshop or any other programs

This makes no sense and has nothing to do with the problem I am having.

A fresh install using an admin account has been attempted. It did not help

I do not know what information you are looking for from the Illustrator help window?

This is not document specific, It happens with all documents (and when I create new documents)

I am using a Dell U2413 Monitor. The person sitting next to me is using the same set up (hardware and software) is not having this issue.

I do not know which color setting you are asking for, could you be more specific. In document color more it is CMYK
