So I'm used to my color swatches disapearing periodically and I know how to fix that, but I noticed all of my brushes had all disappeared so I checked some other things and saw that my gradients are just gone. Like the built in gradient swatches. So I uninstalled and said to remove everything and reinstalled, colors are back, brushes are back, no gradients. I've googled, I've looked for it in the adobe files and I'm at a loss. Any help is appreciated! Oh, the other presets are there btw. The foliage, gems, brights, combinations, etc. Just not what used to be in this gradients tab. Screenshot 2023-09-20 at 8.35.31 PM.png

Gradients, pattern and color swatches are, like brushes and symbols part of the document preset you use to create new documents.

When you open non native Illustrator files, like images and pdf files, they will not contain swatches and you will have to add them.
