un truc m'échappe : mes dégradés(en RVB) deviennent blanc à l'aperçu et lors de mon enregistrement en PDF...

any tips ?

What do you use to view the PDF.

Acrobat.

yes I use freeform gradients ; I'm confused because it's a very simple gradient in direct tone, but something eludes me and I can't see what ti is. as soon as I save it as a PDF or look at it on the viewer, my gradients are white.

I found this thread that suggests to use the Rasterize Effect and a clipping mask:

Screendumps show what's wrong, but to inspect the problem, a PDF file with Illustrator editing capabilities turned on would be better.

the problem was simply the handling of the direct tones in the gradient...

That's what I was going to answer; change the spot color to process. Spot colors do not make much sense in an RGB Document.

But Acrobat seems to work fine, it is the Mac Preview that cannot display it correctly.
