Guides in FRONT of artwork?

Please tell me there's a way to get the guides to be BEHIND the artwork where they belong.

Guides have always been in front of the artwork since AI 1987 and for most people that is the preference. I can understand your desire, but it does not exist, best you can do is turn off the guides using Command ;.

 

There is an option for this in grids not for guides.

If you don't want to see it on your design, you can hide it. To do this, go to View >> Guides >> Hide Guides.

You're right Mike. My "problem" is that I had the guides set to LINES instead of DOTS.

BTW, I've been using AI almost daily since V1.1 and was a Beta tester for several years. I transitioned from CS5 a couple years ago and it's been rough.
