Help swith Illutsrator & InDesign

The apps open fine, but as soon as I want to open a file or start a new task both apps freeze and I have to force quit them. i cannot get past the welcome screens, therefore both apps are useless at this point. Is Anyone else having this issue? I am using MacBook Pro on Monterey so the operating system is up to date. I have Uninstalled both versions of Illutsrator & inDesign, installed older versions, even uninstalled and installed creative cloud, and nothing seems to fix this! Someone, anyone... help!

Are the machine specs enough? Do you have enough disk space for cashe files? Having the latest uppdate may not be the best way, depends on your hardware.
