Highlighted Paths & Rulers Glitching

New Here ,
Oct 16, 2023 Oct 16, 2023

Not really sure how to word what's going on so I've attached screenshots to show, but essentially while working in Illustrator 2023 (needs to be 23 because of our work plugins) when selecting objects, the highlighted paths will be smaller and way off from the object you've selected. Also, while moving around the artboard the rulers begin to glitch as well. Throughout a days work, files will act normal and some will act very wonky like this, if anyone has any solutions they'd be greatly appreciated. See images below.Screenshot 2023-10-16 at 2.37.04 PM.png

This one is to show how I have selected the pink path, but it's highlighted path(teal) lines are so small and far off.

And this is showing what occurs when moving around the artboard the rulers begin to bug out.

What kind of graphics accelerator board or chipset is installed in your computer? Is the driver up to date? If you're using an NVidia graphics card I'd recommend using the Studio driver rather than the Game Ready driver; the studio driver is more oriented to creative applications. Does the glitching occur in GPU Preview view or CPU Preview mode? Did this issue just start happening recently or has it been going on for a longer period of time?

I'm on a 2021 iMac that has an M1 Chip in it, it seems to happen mostly while in GPU preview mode. I've only been in this position since September 20th so its been happening ever since I started I suppose. My co-worker is on an older Mac as well seems to be having the same kind of issues, but only as of recently too.

How much RAM is in your Mac? Hopefully at least 16GB if not more. I'm a PC guy, but IIRC any updates to the graphics chips in M-series Macs usually get rolled in with operating system updates. You might check to see if any updates are available just in case.

It has 16 exactly, the new OS just dropped, so I will see if updating is an option to test out to try and fix this.
