I work with a lot of text elements that describe dimensions. I double-click on the text to change only the numeric value, i.e. in – 100 mm – I only need to select 100. Unfortunately, I can only select the 100 and the following space, which makes the whole procedure more complicated. I was wondering if anyone had already come across the problem I describe and found a solution.
Probably more of a case for script that comps your objects and only changes the numerical value. The behavior as such is consistent with how pretty much any program on the planet behaves with text editing and I know of no way to change that in AI.
